PRECISE SHAPES WITH EXTREMELY LOW TOLERANCE
With the Toray T800 (UD), Di Luca bikes has developed a pressing procedure that allows for the creation of precise shapes with lowered tolerance, resulting in a high performance bike and a quality ride every time. The technology of fibre pressing is essential for creating the combined bottom bracket BB86 and the threadless steerer tube, both are key components of the Di Luca design.
FORK AND STEERER
DYNAMIC & SAFER RIDING
By reducing the diameter of the steerer tube from 1 ½” to 1 ⅛”, the head set is still able to deliver the same rigidity, while also offering a more dynamic and safer ride. This is achieved by higher power transfer, with major rigidity reducing steering stress, and enables the weight to be optimised. The weight of the Continental fork is just 335g.
LATERAL AND FRONTAL RIGIDITY
The Vélobici/ Di Luca Continental fork/conical head system guarantees lateral and frontal rigidity, for better grip on turns and improved vertical adjustment. These elements are essential for absorbing the road’s imperfections and making every ride safe and comfortable.
SHAPED DIRECTLY WITH THE FRAME
Every screwed component, from the rear derailleur joint to the dropouts, and even the fastening holes for the water bottle cage, has been shaped with precision directly within the frame. This is designed to lower the risk of frame damage and to allow easy changes in case of breakages.
FULL CARBON FORK
BIGGER RESISTANCE WITH IMPROVED WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
The Continental benefits from an entirely carbon made fork, from the handle bar to the dropouts joint. This design feature ensures enhanced resistance through an improved weight to rigidity ratio and in turn enhances performance.
INTEGRATED ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION
Specific clips and battery support, seat post and the continuation of the water bottle cage, all of these features offer a perfect interface for all the electronic transmission systems on the market, with no need for hose clamps or additional adhesive tapes. The Vélobici/ Di Luca Continental has the most linear solution for the integration of electronic transmission.
ARRANGEMENT FOR MAXIMUM FLUIDITY
The cable arrangement of the Continental delivers maximum fluidity. Optimised for race performance, it completely removes friction to provide a faster gear shift, even in the most extreme conditions.
INTERNAL BATTERY HOLDER
With the Vélobici/ Di Luca Continental, it is easy to substitute the clips of the water bottle cage or use the internal battery, making for a lighter, clearer and smarter solution.
PRESS FIT BB30
A LIGHTER FRAME MEANS A FASTER RACE
The Press Fit BB30 is a Continental prerogative. Its most innovative characteristic is the integrated caps within the bottom bracket, as this allows the bike’s bottom bracket to be built in carbon and increases the diameter of the bearings. The result is an improved torsional rigidity and significant savings in terms of weight.
